CHIASM/ Emileigh Rohn

Emileigh Rohn is a recording artist, songwriter, composer and producer from Detroit, MI. She has been releasing music solo through COP International records for over 25 years as her project, CHIASM, but since 2020 is also known for her project Rohn-Lederman which has topped the German charts with multiple collaborations and 4 original full-length albums since its inception. Her primary musical instrument is the piano/keyboard, but is exceptional at arrangement and sequencing, as well as being an experienced vocalist, fluent in programming, writing and recording in her personal studio, the MausHaus. She often uses layered vocals and external recorded sounds as their own unique instrumentation and excels in the creative process. Her most current solo release is her sixth full-length solo album, Chiasm - “Zone, following an album with John Fryer as “Missed The Noise”, and plans for a new full-length Rohn-Lederman release in 2025 on Les Disques de la Pantoufle records.

History 1997-current:

CHIASM is an industrial-influenced electronic solo music project created by Emileigh Rohn in 1997. Her music is self-written, programmed, performed and produced in her Michigan-located studio, the MausHaus. The name Chiasm (pronounced as the greek letter X, /kai/, rhyming with sky, then "asm") was chosen in reference to the optic chiasm, a neuronal brain structure shaped as an “X” in dedication to her full-time career in science.

Emileigh self-released her first demo album, “Embryonic” in 1998 and was discovered by COP International records in 1999, who have released her material since then. Aside from her multiple current albums, she has contributed to several compilation releases, collaborated with artists and performed dozens of shows through the early 2000s alongside well-known industrial acts including Kevorkian Death Cycle, The Azoic, Attrition, E-craft, Assemblage 23, and the Detroit Electronica Coalition.

Fans of Chiasm may have discovered her through the inclusion of her song, "Isolated", as featured on the album "Disorder" (2001), on the Vampire the Masquerade, "Bloodlines" PC game or in the Navy:NCIS episode, "Marine Down".

Continuing albums include the Chiasm vs. TL5 remix collection, “Divided We Fall” (2003), "Relapse" (2005), “Prefrontal” (EP 2006), "Reform" (2008), "Apple Island" (EP 2009), "Obligatory" (EP 2012), “11:11” (2012), "Mice On A Wheel" (EP 2017) “In Hiding” (EP 2018), and most recently “Reset” (2019). She collaborated with legendary producer John Fryer for several EPs in 2020 towards a full length album, “Missed The Noise”, and has continued with Jean-Marc Lederman for their albums “Venus Chariot” (2021) and “Rage” (2022).
